Northumbria Daybreak is an independent charity that provides a modern, progressive day support service for adults with learning disabilities throughout the North-East region. In the Summer of 2008 we celebrated our 25th Anniversary and continue to move forward in our committment to provide a service of superb quality. Our dedicated staff team delivers a range of activities which aim to promote social inclusion, independence and choice, the development of relationships and a healthy lifestyle.

The company intends to achieve the aims of the mission statement by:

“Promoting and encouraging service-users to participate and play an active role in the management of all aspects of the organisation.

Providing opportunities for its service-users to be economically active within the local community.

Developing training provision that responds to service-users’ needs and aspirations and equips them with the skills required to take control of their own lives.

Delivering daytime opportunities in response to the requests of service users”
